Summer is over.. and we slowly have to think about what to do when there is no sun. I know it's hard to say goodbye to tanning at the beach, Picnics in Parc de la Ciutadella and sitting on terraces while enjoying a Café con Leche in the sun.. buuuut don't drift away in an early autumn depression! I have a nice idea for you: L'Aquarium Barcelona The Aquarium of Barcelona is located directly at the port, right next to the IMax 3D Cinema (btw another possibilty for a rainy autumn day!) and the Maremagnum Shopping mall (look.. another one and even open on Sundays and bank holidays!!). The world's most important Mediterranean themed aquarium hosts citizens of the local sea but also of the oceans of Australia, Hawaii and the Red Sea. Dive with Nemo and his friends into this tropical world and discover the treasures of the deep sea. Walking through a 80 meters underwater tunnel, you can see 11.000 specimen from 450 different species and even Penguins, Seahorses, Shark Eggs, Coral farms and the most dangerous fish in the world - the blowfish! Admire the secrets of the sea while being surrounded by tropical sharks showing you their sharp teeth. If you want, you can even dive with them - an unique experience! Don't miss the new jelly fish exhibition! The medusas from all over the world with all their different shapes, sizes and colors look like little ghosts being shined on by the special light. Visiting this Aquarium will also be a great experience for children, which can even have an especially organized Birthday Party there or a Sleep Over with the sharks - please contact the Aquarium for further details and a booking. NOTE: Check in Bars and Restaurants in Barcelona for little discount vouchers :) In case you are searching for nice apartments in Barcelona, check Habitat Apartments!
