Spanish Guitar in the heart of Barcelona
Spanish guitar at Church of Santa
There are a good couple of things which you should experience and discover while being in Barcelona: Gaudi's art, Tapas and wine, the Catalan culture, the small streets of El Born and the Gotico, the Boqueria market, the Magic Fountain at the Montjuic and also ... Spanish Guitar!
Every Friday, Saturday and Tuesday at 9pm you get the chance to enjoy a concert in warm and intimate atmosphere in the Santa Anna church, seeing some of the best pieces of Spanish guitar music performed in candle light. Let yourself get enchanted by the passion of the artits and the breathtaking ambience around you.
What travellers said on tripadvisor: » We were given tickets to the performance by Duo de Guitarra as a silver wedding anniversary present during our week long stay in Barcelona and it was the highlight of our holiday. The soft lighting and small audience (about 70 persons maximum) in the chapter house definitely help create a magical atmosphere, but as soon as the guitarists started playing I felt a shiver down my spine. You feel transported back in time with traditional Spanish guitar at its best. The pieces by Sor, Ibanez and others, and the duo's rendition of 4 movements from Bizet's Carmen were awe inspiring. «
