In summer - July and August - there are 6 sessions every day, starting from 18:30 on every hour. The other months there are 3 sessions per day, starting from 20:30 every hour. The shows in Tarantos are very popular, so you should be there at least 30 mins before the show starts. You can also buy the tickets in advance online on the Tarantos Homepage. Just print them and bring them with you to the show. Prices range from 8 to 10 €. By the way, after the last show, Tarantos turns into a Night Club called Jamboree. Until the early morning hours you can dance there on two floors - upstairs, they spin the best of world music and eclectic beats and downstairs, you can enjoy the Barcelona nights with Hip Hop and R'n'B. Tarantos – Flamenco in Barcelona
What are the things you shouldn't miss when you are in Spain? Sangria, Tapas, Cerveza, Wine, Ham aaaaand Flamenco! Tarantos in the beautiful Plaza Reial, just off of las Ramblas, presents its guests a new concept of a Flamenco show: 30 minutes live singing and dancing - with a huge part of improvisation, which allows you to really feel the passion of the professional Flamenco dancers. Mistakenly a lot of people think that Flamenco ist just "beautiful dark haired women in wonderful dresses passionately dancing with Flamenco shoes" - no, it is a lot more. Flamenco includes cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance) and palmas (handclaps). So its a whole spectacle - mostly consisting of 3 until up to 10 people. Flamenco actually comes from Andalucia, the south of Spain, but in recent years it has become popular all over the world. And you can not just learn it in Spain. Funny fact: in Japan you can find more Flamenco academies than in Spain. So, back to Tarantos: Every time when I have friends or family over I have to bring them to a Flamenco show, so you can imagine how often I have seen these shows already - it should be between 8 and 10 times. But I can tell you one thing: I have never seen the same show twice - there are always different artists and nothing is rehearsed.
